Bhagavad Gita, Yoga must be added to India's education system

In a bid to educate kids on Hindu tradition in terms of both literature and philosophy, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has recently said that Bhagavad Gita, yoga, moral and social values, and sanitation should be a part of the education system.

Here's what the official release said:

"Every segment of the population should be educated about development of the society. Apart from this, shlokas of the Bhagavad Gita, yoga, moral and social values, and sanitation should also be a part of the education system," Khattar said.

Earlier also, the private member bill on Bhagavad Gita was moved by BJP member Ramesh Bidhuri.

While addressing the people at a programme in Nissing in Karnal distrit, Khattar also said, "Improvement in education system has always resulted in reformation of the society and the nation. In the changing scenario, we need to focus on motivational aspects of education."

"As Haryana is near the national capital, increase in industries and business in the state is eventual. Skill development, education system is being improved so that people of the state get better employment opportunities," he added in recent PTI report. 

Furthermore, he also mentioned that the state government has initiated various schemes to promote technical education.
