Republic TV editor in chief and well known journalist Arnab Goswami bashes at Jana Sena Chief Pawan Kalyan for raking up controversy over north - south disparity. Reacting to Pawan Kalyan's tweet on appointment of a north Indian as Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Executive Officer, Arnab described Jana Sena chief’s action as a ‘stupid act’. Arnab, known for not sparing anyone over the issues of national integrity or divisive politics observed, “Pawan Kalyan is just an actor and nothing more”, he is not even a good citizen, he added. He said that Pawan should feel ashamed of his act and charged him of dividing the people for his personnel benefits.
Meanwhile, IAS officers association and other All India Service organizations took objection to Pawan Kalyan’s immature comments. IAS Officers Association advised Jana Sena chief not to poke his nose on matters he can’t understand in right perspective. “Don’t attribute regional feelings to All India services” the Association advised Pawan.
It may be recalled here that the Jana Sena Chief Pawan Kalyan going out of the way to instigate north – south division. It may also mentioned here that the Union Minister Venkaiah Naidu too took objection to Pawan Kalyan’s comments on the appointment of Anil Kumar Singhal, Punjab born, AP cadre IAS officer as TTD Executive officer. He said that creating north – South division affects the unity and integrity of the country.
However after receiving condemnation from different quarters, Pawan Kalyan toned down his attack saying that he is not against appointment of north Indian as TTD EO and asked do the same principle apply to famous temples in north India.
