Donald Trump has issued an astonishing apparent threat to James Comey, implying recordings of the pair's conversations could be released if the FBI director he fired "starts leaking to the press".
The last in a series of early-morning tweets, the President said: "James Comey better hope that there are no 'tapes' of our conversations before he starts leaking to the press!"
